Regional Billing Office Coordinator

Position Overview:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Regional Billing Office Coordinator to join out Aquacare Physical Therapy billing team. In this role, you will manage essential billing and accounts receivable functions, including posting payments, submitting insurance claims, reconciling accounts, and maintaining efficient communication with office staff, patients, and third-party carriers. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service skills, multitasking abilities, and a thorough understanding of healthcare billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, and revenue sources.
  • Post patient and insurance payments accurately and timely.
  • Submit claims to state, federal, and third-party payers.
  • Reconcile accounts daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Communicate billing updates with staff and management.
  • Maintain records and ensure accounts are resolved or escalated appropriately.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing terminology and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google Sheets.
  • Attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in physical therapy, healthcare, or medical billing preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in physical therapy, healthcare office, or medical billing is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
